Our Beliefs

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God and the sole basis of any Doctrine of Faith. We subscribe to the statement of faith as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 2000 and published under the title, "The Baptist Faith and Message." We join together as a body of baptized believers in order to witness, worship, educate and minister in the name of our Lord.

Purpose Statement

First Baptist Church exists by the grace of God, for the glory of God, which shall be our ultimate purpose in all activities.
This church will glorify God by devoting ourselves to intimate fellowship with Him.

Mission Statement

The mission of First Baptist Church is:

To worship the Lord according to the teaching of the Holy Scriptures through giving and observing the ordinances of baptism and communion;
To equip the saints by helping them to experience a growing knowledge of God through discipleship, Bible teaching, and study;
To proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ through preaching and personal evangelism through any and all means consistent with the teaching of the Holy Scriptures;
To encourage, support, and participate in local, international, and North American missions work;
To help people experience encouraging fellowship among believers;
To seek daily to be Christ-like by emphasizing total commitment of life, personality, and possessions to the Lordship of Christ, through serving other individuals. families. and churches by providing for physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, in the name of Jesus Christ.
