FBC Staff
Our Pastor, Wade Rogers has been with us for over a year now. Pastor Wade continues to teach and preach God's word. He cares about and cares for the entire congregation. His wife LaDonna has taken over as director of our TeamKid Program. Each Wednesday evening they have stories from God's Word with some help from her friends, a group of pupets that convey the stories from the Bible in a fun way for the children to learn. Their son, Matthew has helped with our youth group in the past, but now is play basketball for the Texas Legends. Their daughter Meagan along with her fiance', Chad Castor, Aurora First Baptist Church Youth Director, have been active in leading our youth for several months. Their daughter Marrisa is married and has one son Conner with another child due in February.
Chad Castor was added to the church staff as Youth Director in the Autumn of 2010. He is a lifetime member at Aurora First Baptist and is attending Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar, Missouri.
Meagan Rogers is also our Worship leader. She combines the new Praise and Worship tunes with the old hymns that we grew up with. She leads with a beautiful soprano voice and with a youthful enthusiasm.
Anne Mattingly has been playing and leading music for some time now. Anne plays the organ for the most part, but when needed she can play the piano or lead the music during our worship time. Anne also works with our sanctuary choir.
Charle Ware has been playing the piano at FBC for the last several years. All our members and regular attenders look forward to Charle's special music and for the occasional piano/organ duet by Charle and Anne. Charle also works with our sanctuary choir and plays for their practice sessions.
Nanette Bishop and Corrine Smith are our church secretaries. Nanette has been in the office as secretary since August of 2007 She works hard trying to schedule events, chruch records, correspondence, bulletins, etc. organized and on time. Corrine Smith joined the staff in September of 2010 and she takes care of the payroll, accounts payable and billing. If you call us, Nanette or Corrine will be glad to do what they can to help you.
